What if...

What if we were real?

What if the amount of dust on your shelves, no matter how much or little it is, didn't matter?

What if you didn't pick up the toys all across the floor, or the sweater thrown on the chair in the corner, or the cups left on the table?

What if someone came over, and saw all that, and totally didn't care one way or the other?

Didn't judge you, one bit?

What if less than perfect was perfectly fine?

What if exactly where you are is exactly where you're supposed to be, and how you're supposed to be, and with whom you're supposed to be?

What if you never can buy that big house you dream of?

Or the car...

Or the new pair of jeans...

What if your account balance never abounds with 'enough' that worry doesn't cross your mind before sharing with others?

What if you never lost another pound, or never starved yourself or denied yourself or gave up carbs or 'went paleo'...what if you just ate what you wanted?

What if whatever happened in the past was truly forgotten, forgiven, and every day was a brand new, fresh, clean slate?

What if politics didn't matter...and race didn't matter...and size didn't matter...and income didn't matter...and cliques didn't matter?

What if, every day, you were truly accepted right where you are, exactly as you are, no matter what you did, will do, thought of doing, might do, might earn, used to earn, ate, didn't eat, no matter-freaking-what?

Oh yeah.

I am.
