Itchy

Inadvertently ended up spending most of the day in the sun, and my skin is all the more itchy for it. I am very fair skinned, so any time in the sun results in a.) sunburn, and b.) freckles/moles popping up ALL OVER. It was a warm day, so at first I thought maybe the pinkness was just from being overly hot. But, we've been back home for several hours, and the pinkness is still there, so...yeah...first 'sun burn' of the year. Totally not bad - if I am lucky it will just yield a little color tomorrow. We had fun at the farmer's market this morning, and will be adding bee pollen to the virgin coconut oil in our new diet plan. BOTH are supposed to be good for 'diabetic symptoms', so we shall see. I wish I had picked up some good yogurt as well. Currently all I have in the fridge is my youngest daughter's go-gurt, probably cotton candy flavor, and for some reason the idea of eating a 'health food' in a yogurt that flavor just doesn't seem right. The woman I spoke with said she eats the bee pollen in yogurt every morning - and as it is also rumored to help kill harmful intestinal bacteria, while yogurt (good yogurt) helps build good bacteria, this could help some of the issues my brothers, my daughter, and I all deal with. HOPEFULLY. I kind of want to try it now, but I am afraid to start something new right before bed (especially since some people do have allergic reactions to it). We also started on our trip to our newest gun while we were at the gun show this afternoon. We'll be building this one, and have one of the major parts, and will do some shopping before we complete the other portion. I am excited though. I had so much fun shooting the AR-15 when we went out on my birthday. I'm going to be anxious to get this one completed! Then...I can't wait to be able to spend some time increasing my accuracy shooting! I'm getting better with my 9mm, and can definitely hit what I aim for in generally the area I intend, but I am still a little skittish, and I still close my eyes when I shoot. (Instinctive, but not good.) If only it wasn't such a pain to try and get ammo right now! A friend of ours does reload his own ammo, so we'll be able to buy some from him at a discount, but the closest shooting range won't let us take our ammo in - we have to buy it there. It's cheaper than retail right now, but still. Kind of funny...I never really envisioned this being something I would find interesting.

  1. Just realized all of my formatting disappears with this layout. That's kinda dumb.
