Funny kid

This picture just makes me laugh. I asked her to stand in front of the fireplace for a 'First Day of School' pic. She grabbed that toy...lol! She is hilarious.

School is going well for her. The first day, I went to Scooter's and had...****ME TIME****!!!! I know this may not sound that epic, but literally - EVERY MINUTE that I am not working (and many of the ones when I am working) there is a little person by my side, in my lap, climbing on my head, whatever. When I'm sleeping, my husband (thankfully!) is there. I am NEVER really alone.

Never.

As the first day of preschool approached, I got a little giddy thinking of the possibilities. I dropped her off at school, and...couldn't decide. So I went to the library, paid my EXTREMELY overdue fine, picked up two books, and headed back to the car. At which point I couldn't figure out where to go sit. I wanted coffee, and there are two coffee shops in close proximity to the preschool. One doesn't have couches, and I was really hoping for one with couches, so I went to the other one. It's close to my house, but - I NEVER go there.

As I walked in, I noticed a friend's husband was sitting in another area talking to a guy I didn't know. I didn't want to disturb them, so I got my coffee, sat down, tuned my phone to some worship tunes, and set about reading scripture and doing the devotionals.

But I couldn't settle down. I kept being drawn to our friend sitting over in the corner. I don't think he knew I was there. I sent a quick text to his wife to tell her I had 'found her husband', which she was amused about, and she just told me it was his boss he was meeting with. I just felt led to pray for them, so I did, and finally settled in and did my devotional, and just spent some quiet ****ME**** time.

It was WONDERFUL. Well, it would have been more wonderful if there actually had been couches, but...I made due.

As our friend left, he waved at me, and his wife texted me moments later to tell me that it had been a VERY good outcome from the meeting, and the boss had solved some of their most pressing money problems. SO - yay God! Prayer answered.

C had a fabulous time at preschool, and was dismayed that it isn't EVERY day. She tells me all about her day, and I am a little frustrated that when she comes home and starts singing a snippet of the songs they sing at school, I don't know them. But...she's loving it, so I can't really complain!

And now...laundry!
