Time flys...

Adding a full time job, while trying to maintain everything as I did before I worked, is proving to be a definite challenge!  It'll all get done, but I'm not very good at giving myself grace when the floors look dusty, or the laundry starts to pile up.

My oldest came home on Sunday, after running the 10-mile race her group sponsored at church.  I am so proud of her, and amazed at that accomplishment that I can hardly even put it into words.  She has changed so much in just 2 short months.  I know that's just going to progress as the year goes on - especially as she goes off on her global journey in a few months.  It is good, essentially, but seeing your child mature before your eyes, from your baby to an independent adult, is bittersweet. I am just so incredibly amazed that God blessed me with such an amazing human being.

Time feels so short - there's Thanksgiving tomorrow - filled with family and food and lots of loud conversation.  Then I finish up my time working in the office next week, and start working from home.  Shortly thereafter, my husband turns 40, so we'll be celebrating that, and then it's Christmas (and all the holiday parties in December).  Then the New Year, and shortly thereafter, my oldest becomes a legal adult in the eyes of the state of Nebraska!  I can't believe we're there.

Anyway - it's a gorgeous day today.  Instead of counting the moments of life away before they even happen, I think I'll enjoy my girlies and go outside and play for awhile!

Happy Thanksgiving!
