Dude! This Sucks!!!!

I am definitely having one of those 'Dude, this sucks!' kinds of days.

I don't know what it is - it was a great day, and then the stupid bombing in Boston...and I am just left with...questions.

We are so fundamentally SCREWED UP as a people - and I KNOW this.  I understand the basis of it all.  I GET original sin, and why it all happens, and I KNOW that God wins in the end.  I've read the ending.  I KNOW!

But on days like today, I just sit here wondering why the heck God has anything to do with ANY OF US!!!!  There are so many potential reasons for the Boston attack - from foreign terrorist groups to domestic terrorist groups, to political parties aligned with the current administration to political groups against the current administration to just freaking stupid idiots who thought it would be fun to be 'famous' by doing something stupid like this and getting their name on the news.

The bombing hadn't even happened an hour before I started hearing different conspiracy theories about it, and I just want to SCREAM....KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guns kill people.  Bombs kill people.  Chicken nuggets and diet coke kill people.  Just....why does it have to be somebody's stupid agenda to kill people to get their message out!

CHILLAX!!!!!  Screw biological weapons that make people sick.  Let's create a giant biological weapon with some sort of drug to make everybody NICE, and LIKE EACH OTHER, or at least QUIT BLOWING PEOPLE UP OR SHOOTING THEM!

Ok.  I have a migraine.  I am tired.  And this has most definitely made me cranky today.  But who the hell am I to complain?  No one I know died today running (or watching) the Boston Marathon.  All of my family is safe and sound, tucked warmly in beds (or about to be anyway), well fed, and able to complain about whatever they want.

Just...ugh.  I hate how ugly our world can be.  I guess it should make me extra thankful that I am 'in it, not of it', right?
